If your life is not what you hoped, then take stock. When you are evaluating your life, look at each person, thing, and emotion that is involved. Now consider how that person, thing, or emotion adds to your life in a positive way. You may find that your life is full of negative things that hold you back instead of positive aspects that push you to be everything possible and the person that you dream of becoming. Fill your life with things that add positive traits and emotions, and get rid of all the clutter that is holding you back. Too often people hold on to the past or to items and emotions that drag them down instead of lifting them up.
My goal is to empower women to overcome personal obstacles to improve their relationships with self and others by defining, developing, and maintaining harmony and balance within their emotional self, spiritual self, physical self, intellectual self, environmental self, occupational self, and social self. During the journey, you will identify and challenge not true thoughts and replace them with true productive thoughts.
Holding on to negatives will only make you miserable and keep you from being truly happy and fulfilled each day. Instead clean out your mental and physical closet, laying all of your ghosts to rest, and getting rid of the people and things that do not really enrich and add to your life.
If you are ready to start cleaning, contact me to schedule an appointment. I can assist you in acknowledging and accepting the past and committing to changing your future. I know that you are unique and will tailor your counseling experience to fit your needs.
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate (LPCA). I earned my Master’s of Science in Mental Health Counseling Clinical from North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University and a Bachelor’s of Arts in Psychology from Guilford College.
