Depression doesn’t always look like sadness. For many Black women, it hides behind strength, irritability, overachievement, and emotional numbness. Join us for a powerful and affirming conversation that goes beyond the stereotypes. We’ll explore how depression shows up differently in Black women, why DSM-5 criteria often miss the signs, and how cultural, spiritual, and historical factors shape our experiences. You’ll learn how grief, self-medicating behaviors, and masking impact mental health — and discover tools to reclaim your healing.
